The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority advises that the Weather Office is forecasting 20-30mm of rainfall overnight and Wednesday, with the possibility of additional rain events for the remainder of the week.
The possibility of localized flooding in various low lying areas of the watershed exists due to this expected rainfall. All watercourses in our area may experience higher than normal water levels. As a result, local streams and rivers will become dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts and bridges. Children should be warned to stay away from all watercourses.
This Watershed Conditions Statement – Flood Outlook will be in effect through November 1, 2018.
