The Georgina Island Storytelling Project

Our stories celebrate our heritage and identity as Chippewa people. They preserve and teach our Indigenous ways of knowing and knowledge for the future generations of Georgina Island. In the tradition of oral history over generations, our youth - in their turn - will carry on this legacy to protect and share our proud history and who we are as the Chippewas of Georgina Island.

Cedar Foot Bathes

Thursday January 9 & Friday January 10, 2020

With Nora and Rod Abitong

(Pending travel conditions)

Appointments available 9:00am-4:00pm

Cedar Foot Soaks assist your body in releasing toxins through the pores of your feet by increasing natural blood flow while releasing built up toxins and increasing your energy and overall wellbeing. You will drink a warm cup of cedar tea, while soaking your feet for 30 minutes in a footbath with epsom salt, olive oil for moisturizing, tee tree oil for cleaning, and lavender for relaxing. While your feet soak, you receive a hand and arm massage with the same oil blend. After the footbath, you receive a foot massage and then a back massage (optional).

The providers ask that women who are on their moon time, pregnant or trying to get pregnant do not participate in the treatment.

Please contact Meghan Milson at (705) 930-4622 or meghanmilson@hotmail.com to book an appointment
